inner work - everyday sh*t

so you’re sitting on the toilet exiting the previous night’s curry from your body….that was quick.

running over in your mind are the things you have to do today. you are dreading some of them. the same old grind. the same old bullsh*t.

you’ll turn up and smile but you hate it and so does everyone else.

you catch a glimpse of the news headlines or hear the tv. more injustice, more corruption and more war. why does society and our leaders keep making the saaaaaaaaame mistakes?! ffs!!!

but you have to get in to the shower, you have to turn up. you have to pay your bills.

sometimes you might go the whole hog and start to catastrophise and imagine yourself screwing up everything until you’re homeless and alone.

our minds need a problem to solve and they will always find one. the most successful people in the world have the same fears, the same doubts as you and the same experience with curry.

everyone is winging it.

the trick is to watch these thoughts rather than be the main character of them.

you can then give a wry smile to your mind, as you look in the bathroom mirror and get on with squeezing as much juice out of your day as you can …on your terms.

nobody else can do this for you. this is the game and you are player one. insert coins.

you do have a choice.

p.s

one of the reasons you may doubt that you have a choice is that there are some old belief patterns about yourself that you haven’t fully expressed. get a piece of paper, write down what comes to mind. work on them. cry them out. walk them out. whatever it takes. the past is gone. this can take a little time but you can regain perspective and learn to love every part of you. even the part that was a d*ck in the past.

life is worth living and to the full.

and don’t forget. nobody gets out alive so you may as well pick yourself up and crack the f on….

you do have a choice.
